A nice place to stay at a reasonable price
Citybox Tallinn City Center is located in the Porto Franco Harbor Complex and offers simple and modern rooms of Scandinavian design. It is conveniently located in the center, close to the D terminal of the Port of Tallinn. Thus, it is only a short walk from the Old Town and the shopping and entertainment centers in the city center. The Ferry terminal to Helsinki, Stockholm, and St Petersburg was just across the street. I could see the city bus terminal through the window, so riding to Old town by bus was very easy.
Niguliste Museum-Concert Hall is 1.2 mi from the accommodations, while Lennusadam Seaplane Harbor is 1.2 mi from the property. Lennart Meri Tallinn Airport is the nearest airport, 3.1 mi from Citybox Tallinn City Center.
This hotel was an excellent choice for me location-wise, as I arrived at Tallinn International Airport, which is only 6 kilometers away. I took a taxi metered taxi to the hotel, only 10.00 Euro. After the end of my trip, I took an early morning ferry to Helsinki, so catching Star Ferry from the terminal across the street was not so difficult for me.
The rooms are decorated in bright colors, which I did not like, but they are clean and equipped with everything one might expect from an inexpensive hotel. Buffet Breakfast was also included with the price, with many items based on Estonian cuisine.
