Koh Samui is one of Thailand’s most popular eastern coastlines. Chaweng Resort is ideally situated on Chaweng beach. My goal was to get a hotel next to a beach within my budget. This hotel perfectly fitted my needs during the hotel shopping and was right on the beach.
I was traveling solo, so the luxury did not matter much to me; all I was looking for was a comfortable bed and a clean bathroom. The bed I got was perfect, very comfortable, and the bathroom was clean as well; the air condition was working nicely. The best part of this resort was that it was next to the quiet Chaweng beach, where I spent some quality time. However, the beautiful cottages right by the beach were expensive, so I stayed a little bit inner side which was more affordable.
I was staying in a Thai-style bungalow, and the room was spacious with modern amenities, a tropical garden right in front, and a private balcony next to it. In addition, the hotel offered a cheap bicycle or Motorbike rental.
The restaurant was facing east next to the pool, just a few steps from the beautiful beach and blue waves, so I enjoyed the early morning sunshine while having my breakfast. Unfortunately, breakfast choices were not that great, but the standby chef prepared some hot meals based on my request.
The hotel was very conveniently located, with many restaurants and convenient stores close by. I enjoyed staying at this hotel, especially the sandy beach that stands out the most.
How to Get There
Bangkok Airways domestic flight flies directly to Samui from Bangkok, Phuket, Krabi, Chiangmai, and more. Then just 15 minutes drive from the airport to the hotel. Or other budget airlines fly to the mainland (Surathani) and then get on a ferry to the island by spending 90 minutes enjoying the beauty of the ocean along the way, then call a taxi for a short drive to the hotel.
