Helpful Information

Best Time To Visit

Overall, Phu Quoc experiences warm temperatures throughout the year, with slightly cooler temperatures during the dry season and slightly warmer temperatures during the rainy season. It’s important to note that humidity levels can be high, especially during the rainy season, which may affect the perceived temperature.

Dry Season (November to April)

  • November to February: Average temperatures range from 25°C to 28°C (77°F to 82°F).
  • March to April: Average temperatures increase slightly, ranging from 28°C to 31°C (82°F to 88°F).

The best time to visit Phu Quoc, Vietnam, is during the dry season, which typically runs from November to April. During this period, the weather is generally sunny with minimal rainfall, making it ideal for enjoying the island’s beautiful beaches, water activities, and outdoor attractions.

Specifically, December to March is the peak tourist season in Phu Quoc due to the pleasant weather conditions. The calm sea is perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and diving.

However, it’s worth noting that Phu Quoc can be pretty crowded during this time, and accommodation prices may be higher. If you prefer fewer crowds and lower prices, consider visiting during the shoulder seasons of November and April when the weather is still favorable, but tourist numbers are lower.

Avoid visiting Phu Quoc during the rainy season, typically from May to October, as heavy rainfall and storms can disrupt outdoor activities and beach excursions.
